Visiting and talking to homeless service providers in Tokyo

Most of non-profit homeless service providers in Tokyo are relatively new and have started their operation in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The size of these organisations are fairly small; their background varies significantly; and their services are fragmented due to the lack of partnership between organisations. Recognising the issue of fragmentation and poor partnership of services, we are currently visiting non-profit homeless service providers in Tokyo and listening to their philosophies and activities in an attempt to find a way to connect these organisations. At the same time, we are introducing to them good practices that we have learnt through our overseas research trips in the past and discussing what could be replicated or what lessons could be drawn from those cases.
